Dental CAT Scan (I-CAT)
At Eagle Point Dental, we pride ourselves on being able to provide only the most progressive, advanced technology available to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of our patients. Among our in-office arsenal of state-of-the-art diagnostic tools is the new I-CAT Cone Beam Dental CAT SCAN Imaging System.
With the I-CAT, we can now obtain complete three-dimensional, high-definition digital CAT scans of your face, teeth, and jaw in under a minute. The I-CAT not only provides much-improved digital imaging, but it also takes half the time of older technologies. One of the other great things about this system is that it requires only half the X-ray radiation exposure of older systems.
Most importantly, the clarity and precision of I-CAT images allow us to make our surgical procedures more accurate, less invasive, and less painful.
When we use the I-CAT
Most cosmetic dental procedures do not require the use of CAT scan imaging, so we do not use it unless it is absolutely necessary. However, a CAT scan is an indispensable tool for detecting and treating many dental conditions such as:
• Impacted teeth
• Sinus issues and blocked airways
• Jaw deformities
• Tumors, cysts and other diseases
A CAT scan is particularly useful during the planning and installation of dental implants. I-CAT imaging helps ensure pinpoint accuracy and optimal placement when installing the titanium screw and monitoring the osseointegration process. For more information about dental implants please visit our implants page.
At Eagle Point Dental, not only do we have the most advanced dental technology available, we also know how to use it, and how to get the most out of it. If you live in Southern Oregon, and are in need of any cosmetic or functional dental services, or have further questions about our technology, please contact us today to arrange an appointment.
